The Society have organised a specialist geneticist on the myostatin topic. Tim Riley who has farmed for over 30 years in West Yorkshire although is originally from Co. Armagh. Tim is currently President of the UK Beef Shorthorn Society, he is a non-executive director of both the Veterinary Medicines Directorate and the Food Standard Agency and also is a long standing member of FAnGR.

Tim will give a talk and hold a discussion on the myostatin topic with Irish Moiled breeders on Wed 21st June 2023 at 7pm at the Conference and Meeting room, at the Ballycanal Manor Guest House, 2a Glenavy Road, Moira Co. Antrim.
